Can you help me. I wore a bracelet in honor of a POW/MIA soldier who went missing  5-13-1970.  I wore this in college during the Vietnam war years. I found it in my “stuff”, and looked up the air
force soldier on your website. I found him and all the information. He was never accounted for. I want to give my bracelet to the family and let them know I thought about him every day back then.
How do I find the family and give this to them if they want it. I wore the bracelet for
Capt. Alan R. Trent USAF.

Thanks for the help.

Today is Memorial Day Weekend, and after 40+ years I happened to find my bracelet stamped with "Maj Robert Dyczkowski". I spent several hours today researching his story. His sacrifice, as well as the sacrifice of every service member, should be remembered and honored. I am sorry for your
tremendous loss. I proudly wore the bracelet for many years during the 70's.

If anyone from the family would like to have this bracelet, I would be happy to send it to you. If you would prefer, I could send it to one of the historical collections or keep it until I am able to visit "The Wall", in the future.

You may email me with your preference at suntavelazquez@yahoo.com.

Subject: LOVELETTERS_Fredrick M. Mellor

From: Monahan, Larry <Larry.Monahan@mastercard.com>

My name is Lawrence Monahan and I retired from the Air Force in 2000.  During 18 years of my military service,
and every year since I retired, I was honored to wear the name of Lt. Colonel Fredrick M. Mellor, USAF proudly on
my wrist.  Like Fredrick, I was born and raised in Rhode Island, and my family lived in Narragansett, a very short drive
from where he was born.  Like Fredrick I joined the Air Force at a young age to serve my country proudly. As I read
more about Fredrick I found out that we had walked some of the very same paths as I too was station at K.I. Sawyer
AFB Michigan for a few years, which is also where I received my POW bracelet.  I recently found out that Lt. Colonel
Mellor’s remains have been returned and laid to rest in the very same cemetery that my father who proudly service in the
US Navy was laid to rest. I would like the family to know that even though I never had the honor of meeting Lt. Colonel
Mellor I am proud and honored to say that he will always be a part of my family and will never be forgotten.  God bless
the family of Lt. Colonel Mellor, and God bless all who serve this great country.

Dear family of Terry Alford, I was given this bracelet when I was a teenager in the 70’s. I always wondered if Terry came home. I wore his bracelet
all the time when I was younger. I put away at some point in time, hoping someday to find out if he came home. I found it today doing some cleaning.
I now know what happened, I was hoping I would find out he was ok. But I see unfortunately not. I am very sorry. I still have his bracelet and will
pass down to my kids. Unless you would like it.

I just found this site and would like to tell this family that I have a bracelet for LCDR Terry Arden Dennison. The date on the bracelet is 7-19-66.

After some research I found his home city was Cosmopolis, WA and his country of loss is North Vietnam. His call sign was Super Heat 210.

His remains were sent home in March of 1972. My brothers and I took turns wearing it in the 70’s and it is in perfect condition.  I would love
to return this to the family.  I apologize for the number of years that have passed, but I found it in my mother’s jewelry box years after she
passed away. Please feel free to contact me, should you like the bracelet returned to you. I am so sorry for your family's loss but thought you
may want to have this or at least know that we prayed for him for many years and wore this bracelet respectfully even at young ages!

To the family of David B. Williams,

When I returned from our WESTPAC tour aboard the USS Coral Sea with Marine All Weather Attack Squadron 224 I purchased a POW/MIA bracelet from Capt. David B. Williams’ wife and still have it to this day.  I wore it constantly for over 50 years until it developed a crack in it.  I put it up with my memories of Vietnam so it wouldn’t break into.  After all these years I’ve been searching to find if my friend was finally returned to the U.S. and today I found this information.  I have kept Capt. David B. Williams in my heart and mind ever since he was shot down on that 3rd day in May of 1972.  His sacrifice has not been in vain and he will always live in my heart and memory.  Even though I only got to talk to him a couple of times during our deployment I always thought of him as a fine Marine officer and considered him as a friend.  All these years of searching has finally paid off as I just found out that his remains were returned in 1989.  I’ve always kept you (his family) in my prayers.  Thank you.

Respectfully,

Sgt. W. Rusty Lane VMA(AW)-224 USS Coral Sea CVA-43

I have been attached to Col. Shelton since I graduated Air Force Basic Training in 1994 when his name caught my attention. His bracelet has been part of my uniform since then, and still is now that I have retired. I pray that one day all of our missing will be returned to us all. I long for the day all prayers have been answered.

A friend of mine found a Vietnam Era name bracelet that she has had since that time period.  She sent it to me in hopes that I might have better luck than she did in finding either him or his family.  She knows I've been searching for my uncle for quite a few years now & hopes I might have better luck than she did.
The info on the bracelet is: Col. Norman D. Eaton 1-13-69. ....
So my questions do you have any suggestions as to where I might start with this search?  Any and all ideas are gratefully accepted from you  or anyone else for that matter.

Sincerely,

Hello, it is with great reverence, respect and sorrow that I today, Veterans Day, 2019, found the answer for the name on the bracelet I've had since 1971, the year I graduated from high school.

My person was identified as MIA and today I learned that he was returned to his family in 1993.  I had tried on several occasions to find out about his status and as time went by I guess I knew..

Today I know for sure and the reality is overwhelming.

I would like to know the process for returning this precious bracelet to his family should they want.
Please pass along the "how to"  info to me.

My person is Master Sgt. Robert N Ireland, 22 April 1970

Thank you,
Maureen J McKinney

I m proud to have the bracelet of CAPT FREDERICK SUTTER from Kansas. I found it among my Father’s belongings after he passed. If the Sutter family would like this bracelet, I will gladly mail it to them.
My family had an MIA experience in WW ii, also a pilot. He went down over CZ in 1944. His crash site and remains were found immediately. The little village placed him in their cemetery. Thank goodness for allies! His body was eventually returned.

I wish your experience had been better. I remember all the family stories of the grief and anguish it brought. May knowing that others care, ease your sorrow.

To the Family of LCDR James Plowman,
I’m embarrassed to say until now, I was unaware that CDR Plowman was returned in 2006. I’ve been wearing his bracelet since 1997, and am honored to do soI pray that his return has brought you some peace, and hope my attempt to contact you does not open old wounds. Reading his biography, I saw that his son was born 5 months after CDR Plowman was lost; he is probably a grandfather, himself, now.

I served in the USAF for 28 years, so please accept my thanks for your sacrifice, my sorrow for your loss, and my sincere hope that you have been able to repair your lives after the loss of your husband/father/family member. I know you will always remember him. God bless you.
