Today
is Memorial Day Weekend, and after 40+ years I happened
to find my bracelet stamped with "Maj
Robert Dyczkowski". I spent several hours
today researching his story. His sacrifice, as well as
the sacrifice of every service member, should be
remembered and honored. I am sorry for your
tremendous loss. I proudly wore the bracelet for many years during the 70's.
If
anyone from the family would like to have this bracelet,
I would be happy to send it to you. If you would prefer,
I could send it to one of the historical collections or
keep it until I am able to visit "The Wall", in the
future.
You
may email me with your preference at suntavelazquez@yahoo.com.
Sincerely,
Sunta Velazquez

To the family of David B. Williams,
When I returned from our WESTPAC tour aboard the USS Coral Sea with Marine All Weather Attack Squadron 224 I purchased a POW/MIA bracelet from Capt. David B. Williams’ wife and still have it to this day. I wore it constantly for over 50 years until it developed a crack in it. I put it up with my memories of Vietnam so it wouldn’t break into. After all these years I’ve been searching to find if my friend was finally returned to the U.S. and today I found this information. I have kept Capt. David B. Williams in my heart and mind ever since he was shot down on that 3rd day in May of 1972. His sacrifice has not been in vain and he will always live in my heart and memory. Even though I only got to talk to him a couple of times during our deployment I always thought of him as a fine Marine officer and considered him as a friend. All these years of searching has finally paid off as I just found out that his remains were returned in 1989. I’ve always kept you (his family) in my prayers. Thank you.
Respectfully,
Sgt. W. Rusty Lane VMA(AW)-224 USS Coral Sea CVA-43 |

To the family of Colonel Charles Erwin Shelton,
I have been attached to Col. Shelton since I graduated Air Force Basic Training in 1994 when his name caught my attention. His bracelet has been part of my uniform since then, and still is now that I have retired. I pray that one day all of our missing will be returned to us all. I long for the day all prayers have been answered.
With my deepest regards and respect, Michael Helgoth TSgt (ret.) USAF |

From: Jeannette Sieland <miacpl.nicky@gmail.com> Sent: Fri, Nov 29, 2019 2:11 pm Subject: Vietnam Bracelet.
A friend of mine found a Vietnam Era name
bracelet that she has had since that time period. She sent it
to me in hopes that I might have better luck than she did in
finding either him or his family. She knows I've been searching
for my uncle for quite a few years now & hopes I might have
better luck than she did.
The info on the bracelet is:
Col. Norman D. Eaton
1-13-69. ....
So my questions do you have any suggestions as to
where I might start with this search? Any and all ideas are
gratefully accepted from you or anyone else for that matter.
Sincerely,
Jeannette Sieland

I proudly wore the MIA bracelet with the name of
SFC Jerry Shriver 4-24-69
for many years.
Each time I looked at the bracelet on my wrist I
prayed for his return. I also prayed for his family.
I have recently read about him and of the many
medals he earned while serving our country.
He is a hero.

Hello,
I have had a POW/MIA bracelet since the early 70’s.
It is for Cdr Carroll Crain
3/8/67. I was able to get his bio from you back in 2012. I want to
give this bracelet to any of his remaining family members or to
someone that wants it. I wore it as a child and I pray for his
spirit and that of his family for all these years.
Can you direct me or advise me if this is a
possibility?
Thank you

Dear family of Capt. Benjamin Franklin Danielson, I have the MIA bracelet of your loved one. I have just discovered that he was found and returned in 2004. I am so very happy that you have some closure. I have been married twice. Both of my husbands served in Viet Nam and both have died from complications from Agent Orange. My heart is with your family. I will send you this bracelet of your loved one that I have had for so many years. Just let me know where to send it.
Sincerely, |

I m proud to have the bracelet of CAPT FREDERICK SUTTER from Kansas. I found it among my Father’s belongings after he passed. If the Sutter family would like this bracelet, I will gladly mail it to them. My family had an MIA experience in WW ii, also a pilot. He went down over CZ in 1944. His crash site and remains were found immediately. The little village placed him in their cemetery. Thank goodness for allies! His body was eventually returned. I wish your experience had been better. I remember all the family stories of the grief and anguish it brought. May knowing that others care, ease your sorrow. Becca Beall Marietta, Ga |

To the Family of
LCDR James Plowman,
I’m embarrassed to say until now, I was unaware that CDR Plowman was
returned in 2006. I’ve been wearing his bracelet since 1997, and am
honored to do so. I
pray that his return has brought you some peace, and hope my attempt
to contact you does not open old wounds. Reading his biography, I
saw that his son was born 5 months after CDR Plowman was lost; he is
probably a grandfather, himself, now.
I served in the USAF for 28 years, so please accept my thanks for
your sacrifice, my sorrow for your loss, and my sincere hope that
you have been able to repair your lives after the loss of your
husband/father/family member. I know you will always remember him.
God bless you.
Sincerely,
Rob
Rob Gaston, Lt Col (USAF, Ret)
