SYNOPSIS:
Capt. Jack Dove and LtCol. Boyd Squire were the crew of a T-28D aircraft
lost while conducting an armed, night reconnaissance mission over Quang
Binh Province North Vietnam, July 12, 1967. Remains were repatriated
June 1, 1992.
No further information available at this time.

On July 19, 1995, Joint Task Force-Full Accounting (JTF-FA, now
DPAA) identified the remains of Lieutenant Colonel Boyd Edwin
Squire, missing from the Vietnam War.
Lieutenant Colonel Squire, who joined the U.S. Air Force from
California, served with the 606th Air Commando Squadron. On July
12, 1967, he served as the instructor pilot on board a T-28D
Trojan (serial number 49-1569) on an armed reconnaissance
mission over Quang Binh Province in North Vietnam. During the
mission, the Trojan crashed and Lt Col Squire was killed.
Hostile presence in the area inhibited search efforts after the
crash. In 1992, the Vietnamese government repatriated remains,
which were later identified as those of Lt Col Squire.
Lieutenant Colonel Squire is memorialized on the Courts of the
Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
