The Department of the Navy confirmed today that
Aerographer's Mate First Class Edward Thomas Earhart, 26, Salt Lick,
Ky., was killed during Tuesday's attack on the Pentagon. He was
previously listed as unaccounted.
The Department of Defense announced today that Herbert W. Homer, a civilian employee of the Defense Contract Management Agency, was among the passengers aboard United Airlines Flight # 175, which crashed into the World Trade Center. He was previously listed in error as unaccounted at the Pentagon. |

DOD CASUALTY UPDATE
The Department of Defense confirmed today that the
following people were killed as a result of the attack on the
Pentagon. This brings to 84 the number of unaccounted victims
positively identified, not including the individual who later
succumbed to wounds suffered in the attack.
Army:

contractor, Verizon Communications
-- Mr. John J. Chada, Department of the Army
civilian, 55, Manassas, Va.
-- Mr. Terrance Lynch, Department of the Army
contractor, Booz-Allen and Hamilton
-- Ms. Patricia J. Statz, Department of the Army
civilian, 41, Tacoma Park, Md.
As a result of the attack, 125 people were killed or
remain unaccounted, not including the 64 passengers on the plane.
To date, 118 remains have been recovered and transported to Dover Air
Force Base, Del. for identification. Search and recovery
