Seaman Apprentice Charles Dale Hill entered the U.S. Navy from Missouri and served aboard the USS Saint Paul (CA 73). He went missing sometime during the night of May 15, 1967, and was discovered to be missing the next morning. He was last seen on the mess deck of the ship, and searches for him following his disappearance were unsuccessful. Today, Seaman Apprentice Hill is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
