He was found in a rice paddy south of Tam Ky. He was wearing clothing that
resembled the blue hospital pajamas that were issued if you got admitted.

Someone in the back of the UH-1 had to go out of the aircraft and get him.

He seemed disoriented.

We were flying below 50 feet AGL, probably more like 10.

He seemed disoriented, and had the 1000 yard stare. He was black but so
anemic that he looked white.

I THINK we dropped him of at 23rd Evac at Chu Lai. But for sure it was
near Tam Ky in I Corps, 23rd Infantry Division AO.
