Proving all of these people to be Ron hinges on the e-mail address that he was using, aintneverscared@gmail.com. This e-mail leads to a variety of places. On one forum he “killed himself” to explain his absence while in jail yet continued to e-mail after his release on Nov 21. There was a blog where he talked about his military experience, there were too many “coincidences” to stories Ron has told before, especially his wife being killed in a jeep that rolled 3 times on New Year’s Eve. Further digging led to a putfile account where he had his picture posted under the screenname dboyjake (same as he was using on his blog and other forums) http://www.putfile.com/pic/8073742 This is a picture of Ron Arlt.

I actually joined the Army back in 1990, right out of High School.  I joined primarily for the school benefits.  I really wanted to go to college but my folks couldn't afford it.  And back in 1990, there hadn't been a "war" in forever, so I thought I was safe.

Didn't happen.

I came over here back in 90/91 for Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  Then Somalia in '93, Bosnia and Kosovo '95-'98.  I left the Army in 2000, and was happy to be done.  Then Sept 11 happened and the Army asked me to come back.  The training I've had is rather unique and my skill set is always in demand.  And since the majority of my friends were getting shipped out, I decided to re-join.
My name.  Yes, my last name is really old.  Nun-Ya.  It’s probably Indian, from the lost None Ya tribe.  Who used to go by their full name, None of Your Business, but once they got Americanized, they shortened it down.  I know, not fair in the least.  As for Jake, it’s simply Jake.  Also a nickname, from a habit I have of using the word “Jake” as a noun, and a verb.  Like “Everything’s Jake, then right?”  Or “Who Jaked my damn knife?”.

Ok, as to why.  The simple answer is that what I do for the U.S. is not something that is talked about very often.  And it’s not something that is ever shown on the news or really discussed in public.  There are not a lot of us, and we’re almost paranoid in our security measures.  In fact, I’d probably get chewed out for even doing this…corresponding with a stranger I met on the internet.  But lately I’ve been getting a bit fed up with the “given” rules, so fuck them.  (I apologize beforehand.  I’m not ignorant.  I just like the F word a whole fucking lot).
We just got back from a LRRP.  I love this specific time.  Just took a shower.  Weapon is cleaned, after action report is done.  Nobody hurt.  First beer is cracked
I haven’t spoken to my adoptive parents in almost 2 years.  You see, I was raised in a very proper and very fundamental Catholic environment.  I went to Catholic school for 12 years.  My dad was in the seminary when he met my mom.
the Army is trying really hard to get me to extend my enlistment for another year.  I’m currently a Captain, and they’re offering $20K and a promotion to Major if I agree.  The big issue I have with an extension is that I’d get moved from the field to a paper pusher job.
