"Mercenary," is posted on www.esquire.com

| Clark,
William James DoB 1966 aka DoB 1973 |
02/2008 | Seattle, WA | Claimed he was a
"military police officer" and showed an MP Badge. He could not
provide a military ID card. When confronted with his lies, he said he used
to be an MP, but was not one now. He was arrested on an outstanding
federal warrant for impersonation. He already has a prior
federal conviction for impersonating a US Army Captain (claimed SF) at a
bridge collapse disaster scene in in Oklahoma on May 26, 2002.
His current warrant seems to stem from an incident where he impersonated
a US Army officer to the Russian Embassy. Today he had BDU's with him with SF Long Tab, Ranger Tab, and an SF Command patch with Airborne Tab, and Captains bars, all sewn on. He had a black beret with the baby-blue generic army flash, with an SF unit crest affixed to it. All of this impersonation gear was recently purchased (it was all brand spanking new) at a surplus store in Idaho (receipt found in pockets). Reported to be aggressive and violent. Internet news site shows he's been captured armed in the past, lurks around sensitive military sites, and had unexplained knowledge of a death of a real Army Captain in the aforementioned bridge collapse, before bodies had been recovered. |

Man drowns in Tucker Pond SOUTH KINGSTOWN — A retired U.S. Navy SEAL from Narragansett drowned in Tucker Pond off Tuckertown Road Friday while he was swimming with his dog. John Collins, 65, 46 Houston Ave., Narragansett,
was swimming with his wife, Vickie Hyatt Collins and their dog, around
noon, a police report stated, when she came out of the water to eat
lunch. Mrs. Collins told rescue personnel their six-month-old Labrador
retriever was in and out of the water, and she could see her husband
swimming one minute and disappearing the next, but since he was a strong
swimmer, she did not think he was in trouble. |

greatly appreciate your interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy
SEAL Teams, and your search for the TRUTH. Before answering your
questions I must make clear that I am a private individual, not
affiliated with the US Dept. of Defense or any other government
organization. Additionally, although I worked for/with the AuthentiSEAL
verification organization for several years as an Investigator (and
later as a Special Investigator dealing with the media), I ceased to
work for that organization in any capacity in late 2004. Unless he has
undertaken the unlikely action of a legal name change (an action for
which there would be court documentation) since his claimed service with
the SEAL Teams, and based upon the information you have provided, I can
state conclusively that FRED
IRL COOK has NEVER completed UDT/SEAL
training, and he is not now, nor was he ever a US Navy SEAL or UDT

of all men who served with the Underwater Demolition Teams

Mr. Costella/Costello claims he was awarded the
Navy Cross for actions during the Battle of Hue City in 1968. He
was also wearing the Vietnam Service ribbon AND VN Presidential
ribbon of friendship...
I went to Suitland High School in Forestville, MD ......
One of my favorite teachers there was Mr. (Pat) Costello.
He was a great teacher and I thoroughly enjoyed his classes. One
of the more vivid memories was of him describing how he had been a
Force Recon Marine in Vietnam and had received the Navy Cross for his
actions there. The two anecdotes that I remember the most was
his description of him charging a trench full of NVA/VC tossing
grenades and clearing out the trench, this action was earned him the
Navy Cross, and how he was wounded by a grenade and then shot in his
side while lying wounded from the grenade. He also said
that he had attained the rank of GySgt in his short time
in the Marines (I believe he said 3 years) because the guys in his
unit kept getting killed off.
All of this was well known to the faculty and student body at Suitland
HS, though some might not have paid too close attention. I have
always been interested in the military and at the time was in the Navy
NJROTC unit at the school and listened to everything he talked
about with rapt attention. I was aware of the significance of
the Navy Cross at the time and felt privileged to be in the
company of such a hero. Unfortunately, this is not the first
indication that I have had that he might have been a fraud, out
of curiosity a few years ago I looked his name up on a list
of Navy Cross winners in Vietnam and he was not on it.
I just wanted to give you some more information on Pat
Costello and how long he has been doing it.
end quote |
Costella/Costello is a High School teacher at Suitland
HS in HQ, USMC reported that they had no record of a Navy Cross being awarded to Mr. Costella; nor did they have a record of a recommendation of a Navy Cross for him.
NPRC could locate NO MILITARY RECORD when provided with all necessary "identifiers" ========================================================= I am a former student of Patrick S. Costello and I am writing to say that he is a phony. He would spend class after class telling his war stories about being a Marine in Force Recon. Many days we didn't do class work but would listen to him tell all of his stories. We all knew he was a phony because the stories changed so often. He also told us he played football at University of Alabama and lots of other things we knew weren't true because he told he was in Vietnam at the same time he was at Alabama. My grandfather, who was in Army, said there was someone on your site I might know. I wasn't surprised to see Cost's picture there. I checked with Alabama's athletic department and they confirmed he never even went to school there. I also found out other things that makes me believe he is very sick. He hates the military and the government and spent as much time in class telling bad things about them as he did talking about being a war hero. We all knew he was crazy. Now I know for sure he is. (name withheld) ===============================
Hi
I don't know anyone with the FBI, but I think they will get around
to him. After reading the student's comments on the POW
Network site, I no longer have even a shadow of a doubt about his
lack of credibility. The story he told his students doesn't
even resemble the story he told us last year. I am going to
get the name of the principal and send a letter to Suitland
High School.
I will keep you posted. Talk to you soon.

| COSTIGAN, GREGG ALAN | 02/2008 | ME |
Claims Navy SEAL. He claims to have a
service related disability for which he gets about $1100.00 per
month. Claims that he was shot.
|
....I greatly appreciate your
interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams, and your
search for the TRUTH. Before answering your questions I must make clear
that I am a private individual, not affiliated with the US Dept. of
Defense or any other government organization. I am one of about a dozen
men in America who possess a copy of the SEAL Database, a comprehensive
and regularly updated listing of all men who trained and served with the
Naval Special Warfare units (SEALs, UDT, NCDU, S&R) from the end of
WWII to the present day. I also have access to archival sources who can
verify/deny claims of service DURING WWII. As a former US Navy SEAL
myself, I am fully familiar with the NSW training program and the
standard operating procedures used by the Teams, as well as an in-depth
personal knowledge of many of the ‘insider’ events and incidents
which UDT “Frogmen” and SEALs offer as a part of their bona fides.
My efforts to expose SEAL imposters are performed free of charge, as a
service to the public, and in honor of my SEAL Teammates who gave their
lives in service to our nation… men who truly earned the right to the
title “US NAVY SEAL” but who are no longer able to stand forward in
defense of their honor, their reputations, and their TEAMs. If the name you provided is spelled correctly, I do NOT find a listing in the SEAL database for anyone named GREGG COSTIGAN. Be aware that I have also examined possible alternate spellings, and names with similar pronunciations. In fact there are NO ENTRIES in the SEAL Database for anyone with the last name COSTIGAN. Unless he has undertaken the unlikely action of a legal name change (an action for which there would be court documentation) since his claimed service with the SEAL Teams, and based upon the information you have provided, I can state conclusively that GREGG COSTIGAN has NEVER completed SEAL training, and he is not now, nor was he ever a US Navy SEAL or UDT “Frogman”. Please be aware that the SEAL database includes the names of all men who served with the Underwater Demolition Teams (“Frogmen”). Since 1983 when the UDTs were all re-commissioned as SEAL Teams it has been the convention within the Naval Special Warfare community to use the modern term “SEAL” when referring to all men who ever served in any of the SEAL ‘precursor’ units.....

One battalion of the Group would be forward-stationed at Okinawa, while two battalions and the Group's headquarters and separate companies would be organized at Fort Lewis, Washington. The first element to be activated was Company A, 1st Battalion, which was reactivated at Fort Bragg on 15 March 1984. This company and the remainder of 1st Battalion were assembled and deployed to Torii Station, Okinawa during the spring and summer of 1984, under command of Lieutenant Colonel James Estep. An in-theater activation ceremony for the battalion was held at Torii Station on 19 October 1984, with Lieutenant General Alexander Weyand present, as reviewing officer. Activation of the rest of 1st Special Forces Group (Headquarters Company, 2nd and 3rd Battalions, Service Company, Signal Company, and 1st Military Intelligence Company) officially commenced on 4 March 1984 at Fort Lewis, Washington. |

Claims to have been a Navy SEAL injured in covert
operations then recruited by the CIA while working for IBM. States
he had been an assassin for the U.S.G. that can employ the worst of the
worst to go after his enemies.
Called back by the CIA on Sept 11, 2001. He then supposedly helped put Wall Street back together post 9/11 and was privately given the "Man of the Year " award by the governor of AZ in 11/01 for his stellar efforts (the governor does not have recollection of this honor being bestowed.) Numerous jobs since 2000. |

| Crimmins, Paul | 05/2006 | Eastham, MA | Claims
Navy Seal during the Vietnam War - served 4 tours in country, is
highly decorated, and completed his training in Coronado.
-----------
Perhaps there is no record of Paul Crimmins in Vietnam because he was
upriver in Cambodia and or Laos where the US was never officially
involved. Perhaps you should look into why his mom was informed
twice that her son was KIA. That sure would be odd for someone
who was just working on a sub. In fact, he did work on a sub,
but only after he was done with the special forces in SE Asia.
Check again, dig deeper. There is more to his story than you
think you know.

Claims
Marine Naval Aviator, shot down in Vietnam in an F-4. Was
second husband of Raquel Welch. Claims he went to USC/NROTC and
graduated with a degree in Film and a commission in the Marines,
and went on to become a Marine Naval Aviator. He said he was in
Marine squadron VMF-323 (1962 -1964) The CO and XO and several
former Marine pilot for the (1962 - 1964) period never heard of
Patrick A. Curtis.
Curtis claims he
was shot down flying an F-4 on 10/31/68 in Vietnam. The Marines
did not report any aircraft loss on this date. Claims 283 1/2
combat missions, 1967-1968 over North and South Vietnam.
Independent investigators have found Curtis attended St.
Charles Borromeo School, North Hollywood, CA 1945 -
1953. He then went on to Notre Dame High School, Sherman Oaks,
CA and graduated in 1957. If he did go to USC/NROTC he would
have been a 1961 USC/NROTC alumni to be in VMF-323 during the
period he said he was there. USC/NROTC Alumni website does not
have him listed. 1961/1962 USC/NROTC alumni do not know
him. There is no indication he ever attended USC or
NROTC. Investigators have located old news stories of
him being in Europe with Raquel Welch during times he said he
was flying for the Marines.
Curtis has been giving hero speeches at VFW and other veteran groups. Claims retired Marine Corps Reserves Colonel. Claims Air Force Humanitarian award, Life membership in Marine Corps League, Navy League, Air Force Association. |
